Christmas Holidays: Why Aren't You Here Now?

I'm dying for the holidays to be here. I can't wait to spend time with my family. Here are my top 10 holiday wishes/plans that I need to put down to get me through the next few days

Omg, you are so cute. I should wish a pox on you- I need another two weeks before Christmas! But, how can I not love that you are the Jacob Marley to my Ebenezer Scrooge. I am trying so hard not to let all the daily crap shoot me down, and not appreciate the season. I went to a holiday concert tonight, and that helped. So I guess I would start my list with:

1) Listening to more carols to get me in the spirit.
2) Baking
3) Wrapping
4) Throwing out more toys in anticipation of getting more. (oops some not so fun things have to creep in unfortunately. Meh!)
5) Hanging wreaths and lights on the beautiful new exterior of my home
6) Cooking a delicious meal for my family
7) Seeing my kids on Christmas morning.

Things I want to happen but I know won't:

1) Seeing the tree and decorations downtown.
2) Winning the lottery
3) Having my fairy godmother clone me
4) Have Santa bring me everything I want, or an extra four hours in a day, whichever is easier.
5) Saving the world before bedtime.
6) Sleeping
7) Spending the day in my PJ's watching movies
8) Hearing from you-know-who.

In all honesty, my wish for the holidays is to just get done what I need to, in a timely manner so I can actually enjoy them.

Is that so much to ask?

Honestly, I'm glad this came out as a positive message since it was more of a "get me out of here now". LOL I'm just tired, and way too much to do and too little time to do it. Holidays cannot be here soon enough, if only because all this crap that is hanging over my head will be gone.
