...But I'm not afraid of threats against kids. The Crimson King's threatened to take the 'Younglings' away before, and we all stood up against that then.

What's so special about silver knives, anyway? I've got a sword and magic and a bow.

On my world, and a few others here, silver has mystic properties against the unnatural. Distributing such arms gives even the untrained a measure of fighting chance against them.
