*Marco doesn't bother to reply, and since Godric's said the door's unlocked he doesn't bother to knock either. He does, though, take his normal walking pace there. He takes a seat in the same damned chair and cants his head a bit, frowning at the vampire's attire*
...what happened?
*If it were anyone but Godric, he'd be worried. Instead he's just curious, though wary that there may be Trouble*
[Godric nods to Marco at his entry, and at his words he glances down to his clothing, indicated in the tilt of the man's head. The blood hadn't bothered him at all, though he'd forgotten about the human proclivity to find it unsettling.]
*It was odd, that was all, but Marco assumed if it was a problem Godric would have dealt with it or would somehow show it. (...lol, okay, not that last one).*
Ah.
*He'd never really dealt with Barricade, but had seen enough over the comms to guess*
[Godric's lips quirk in amusement, but he speaks no more on the subject.]
Will you consent to being my second-in-command? Should I be die at a critical time, or am otherwise incapacitated, I would rather not have everything fall to chaos.
*He raises an eyebrow. Marco hadn't really expected that, mostly because he hadn't considered Godric being incapacitated in any way. The vampire was easily more skilled and more paranoid than Marco was, so the idea of something getting the drop on Godric... Then again, Jenjen had sent an air strike against them and no one expected that.*
[He nods. And awwwh, Marco, your regard is almost... cute.]
Thank you.
[For a moment, he merely looks at his human.]
About the blood. You've been conflicted.
[It's the Share and Care hour, starring Godric and Marco! Let's see which of these fine contestants can paint themselves into a monotonous corner first!]
*...okay, that was somehow worse than actually being confronted with it. Was he expected to talk or could be just go back to trying to pretend nothing was wrong? Except Godric wasn't saying anything else and Marco couldn't help but feel he was expected to speak. So after a minute or two of silence he sighed*
I'm not sure about a lot of it. But its done. When faced with it, I couldn't let myself die again.
*He actually felt a bit better about that since speaking with Anna, since she had just echoed his own words on that. But he hadn't told her about all of the effects like he had with Remy...*
[Which Godric might have bought, if he hadn't been inundated with Marco's emotions since the transfer had occurred.]
I believe my death would dispel the effects.
[Some people would hear that statement and believe him capable of martyrdom. The truth of the matter is somewhat simpler. Twenty four hours of non-existence are to him what breathing is to a human, inconsequential and unthought of, and no hardship would come of it. Marco's mental state - especially if he's to act as Godric's second - is somewhat more important.
His tone is no different than normal. It's only an offer if Marco wants it to be.]
*He's trying, at least. Its just not easy to sort out.*
I thought the same about myself... *He mumbles, but its probably much too easy for the vampire to pick out anyway*
*Marco's emotional response to the idea of Godric's death is a lot stronger than he expected. Considering how...mellow the vampire was about it, Marco would normally have not had any issue beyond 'what if anyone watching takes that opportunity...' Now, however, Marco didn't want Godric to die. Even if he'd just come back in a day and had no issue with it. He assumed that must be part of what the blood had done to him, but...*
No. At least not yet.
There's a woman in Carnival I wish to speak with. Herz was going to go try to find her, so I was going to go with him. If anywhere, it'd be useful there.
Yours has at least as much potential. But you don't want to die.
[Survival, or death. The remark, remembered in Eric's harsh, agonized voice, gives him a moment of pause, and an insight into Marco's character he hadn't yet realized.
He really would have made an excellent vampire.]
Very well. I will do nothing without your knowledge of it.
*He honestly thought death hadn't bothered him so much here. It still didn't seem to, but when he was right on the verge of it...he hadn't lost one ounce of the self preservation instinct that had kept him around long ago. He'd prefer not to die again at all, but perhaps a little quicker less time would be easier*
Thank you.
*And he meant it. He trusted Godric enough to take that statement at face value (though, really, how much trust did it take to believe someone wouldn't kill themself for no reason?)*
[He's done it once before, Marco! Godric is batting a thousand on the altar of 'stupidly suicidal'.]
You spoke with Mr. Whitecastle on the matter?
[It's a guess. Marco's emotions had spiked after the gathering of their little triumvirate. And Marco and Remy would have both gone to Sergei's to secure the mini-bar.]

I sparred with Barricade.
[He lifts one shoulder, a shrug.]
What injuries I took, I have healed from.

*Marco sighs. Of course Godric would know, but he's not really looking forward to talking about it again*
Yeah. I am.
