What in the blue hell is this "mash up" business with music? If songs were meant to be jammed together, they'd have been written that way.

what: journal entries, what: music, jed: is in rory's itunes, what: glee

I'm serious!! I had my advanced group do a hip hop number to it a couple years ago, it's an awesome mashup!

...that's strange, I tell you what.

Speakin' of yer girls, can I ask you 'bout Brooklyn? What do you know 'bout her, exactly?

Brookieboo? She's had it pretty rough. I think she was...three? Maybe four, when she became a ward of the state. The lady in the next apartment called the cops when she heard her crying for three hours straight. They had the landlord open the door and found her in her crib and her mom passed out in the kitchen with a needle in her arm. I think she damn near OD'd, which is sad--the 'damn near' part, at least is sad, maybe the poor kid would've been adopted by now if the bitch'd had the decency to die.

Let's see...she had a different foster home up until a year or two ago, and they had to make different arrangements. I think one of the other kids in the home was bullying her. She's been with Margie--Margaret Ellington?--she's been with her ever since. Margie's good people, though, really good with her foster kids. Mom's been in and out of her life, think she finally disappeared a year or so ago. It's taken its toll on the poor kid. She's shy and really wary of people, and who can blame her. She hasn't had much in the way of stability. ( ... )

Odd how? Seein' faeries, or other stuff? She ever admitted to seein' things or hearin' voices, or strange things happening 'round her when she's emotional?

She doesn't talk much, but she did tell me one time she talked to cats. Kinda worried me a little. Since I have also talked to cats, but since her name's not Alice or any variation thereof, I don't think we gotta worry about her falling down any rabbit holes

No, but it ain't good.

Alice, I was talkin' to cats when I was her age, too. Any small animal, really. That's how a magic practitioner picks a familiar. Add to that imps been hangin' around her...

I dunno how much, but I think Brook's got power, and rough as she's had it? She needs help. Pain can turn power real dark, real fast, and that's if them imps don't steal her first.

Wish I was. I got lucky, Merlin killed my father 'n spotted me early. Shipped me off to live with the fey and learn 'bout my power, but I was a special case.

I'm gonna talk to my dad and Rory's godmothers, come up with a plan of action. Meantime, I'd like to see Brookie again. Protecting herself's as easy as knowin' what to say to a faerie that tries to give her a hard time.

Stop by the shop soon as you can, too. Gonna leave a package for ya with Tink or Lisa. Horseshoe 'n some St. John's wort, it'll keep the fey outta your studio if it's kept about.

...I--okay, just--it--she can't--

We can't let them take her away, we can't let anyone take her away.

Alison, listen to me, and you listen good: faeries don't hurt children, they don't ever hurt children. And they don't take children that already belong to someone else with power enough to protect 'em.

I got Brooklyn. She's mine. She's stayin' put, and if I can swing it she's gonna find a home with parents that can take proper care of her so she don't grow up thinkin' there's something wrong with her. You understand me?

Alright, then. Just look out for her. Listen to her, let me know if anything comes up. Mostly, she just needs to know she ain't crazy or weird.
