Driving to a Dream World
Half awake and half asleep I slip somewhere in between. A calm warm buzzing passes through me. My body so relaxed I couldn’t move if I wanted to. Serenity overtakes me as I look out the window. This land so simple that as quickly as it is made it seems to falls away. I slowly close my eyes and an hour passes like a second. Just then reality punches me in the eye and they swell and squint to open. I am awake but not aware. I stretch and my abs pull back like angry fists. I am slightly alarmed but then inwardly satisfied. I feel as an observer of a strange place.
