The One Page Summary of My life
As I write my resume I realize that it’s a little too easy to write a summary of my life in one page. Well, at least all that colleges care about. Now that I have written this and the final hours of my high school life are torn from under my feet, I fall freely and rake my fingernails on anything and everything trying to find substance. I can see a creature at the bottom, but can’t tell if it’s a rabid hyena or a gentle lamb. I race around like dieing man trying to get into heaven. Wanting to become this well-rounded perfect student. I press for good grades to bring my GPA up at the last second, like a worried cartoon character sweating bullets with a wrinkled brow. I sit on the tracks waiting for a freight train that I was once weary of, volunteer work. Come get him, perfect student in one year or less, runs good, never quits, tough as nails and sweet as kettle corn.
