Anyone noticed that the original actor who played George Jones MP in the National Theatre's production of the above play? No...shall I give you a clue. Oh very well then...he was the hard hitting and drinking Regan in "The Sweeney" before playing a grumpy old detective called Inspector Morse. Yep John Thaw. And one of the earliest screen appearances by Christopher is on an episode entitled "Second Time Around". Written by Michael Winterbottom and directed by Daniel Boyle...both of who, Christopher has worked with extensively.
