Compliments from Bryan (and Nancy)

Bryan gave me some encouraging compliments today.

I walked in and got my assignments as usual. We talked about them and he offered some pointers. I really like how we talk about assignments and photography every day. Rather than just having a disconnect with the process and the synergy of a photo staff.

Anyway I walked in the studio, in which he was sitting, and started packing the lights for the basketball game. He started talking about his friend, Nancy, who is not a photog, but gets the paper everyday and always has something to say about it. She often comments on the newest interns and whether she likes them or not.

She asked about me. And said she liked what she saw.

Bryan was saying the same and to keep it up. He said usually interns get to this point later on in the internship with only like a month or so to go. I still have a lot of time left, three months. So hopefully I keep the ball rolling.

That was just some encouraging news. I feel like I am growing as a photojournalist. Even though I'm not sure how much longer I will stay in this business.
