Anthony Rapp picture--Got to use long lens from balcony
I got published again today... well online. It did not make the budget for print because the event was too late and they had no room. It sort of looks funny. He looks like he is doing the devil hand signal or Spiderman hand web release thing.

It was still neat because I was able to borrow my editor's long lens. It felt really professional... and it was heavy. At first it was awkward because I could tell people felt a bit distracted when I was on my knees shooting. The camera is sort of noisy. Eventually I decided to try and get a better angle from above. So I asked the head usher person and he unlocked the balcony. I was there all alone.
As I walked along the red carpeted balcony I felt like I was about to assassinate Abraham Lincoln. But that's just me. So I proceeded to shoot Anthony Rapp, cast member of Rent.
After the speech I took some pictures of the huge crowd of screaming girls trying to get autographs. It was funny to see how many people started walking up the stairs to take pictures after they saw me taking pictures from above.
