gonna see some orangutans
Good morning to you people. My flight to Pangkalanbun is delayed, so I have some time to write a bit. From Pangkalanbun, we shall get on a wee boat and cruise up the Kumai River to Tanjung Puting National Park. Today I may end up seeing probiscus monkeys, macaques and orangs. I am so excited, I am seriously about to poop in my pants. Out of joy, of course.
I am the youngest on this trip, by a considerable amount of years, except for one man. He is the other member of the group traveling solo. These facts are neither here nor there, really, except that I am already feeling a bit young. Whenever I enter a social situation in which I know no one, I feel like it is my first day of preschool. No one would know this, given that I do perfectly well with new people. But such interactions still begin with the aforementioned feeling.
