I'm Getting Married!
Most of you already know, but just in case you don't... Nate proposed to me on July 25, and (of course!) I said yes!
We went to his grandparents' beach house in Rhode Island. He wrapped the box the ring was shipped to him up and called it a birthday present. The first night we were there, we went on a walk around the point (essentially the neighborhood) and looked at all the really pretty scenery then he made up an excuse to go back. We then continued the walk and went down to the edge of the water and sat on this rock to watch the sunset. Next thing I know, he's down on one knee saying super sweet things and out comes the ring. THEN, the pair of swans that live in the cove they're on came around the corner and swam near us for a while.
We're super excited and wedding planning is already going full steam ahead.
I'm hoping to get a lot of things settled before I head back to vet school so I can just leave wedding planning on the back burner for the most part during the semester.
