Hooray!!
After having to keep Eve in the hospital for an extra day due to jaundice (bleh) we finally came home thursday night. Yesterday we had to do a visit to the pediatrician to make sure that her jaundice levels were decreasing (they are), so now we are definitely HOME, and i'm so glad.
Lots of adjustments have to be made now, of course... the cats are VERY curious about this new little squirmy screamy gassy creature. We're introducing them slowly, and it's pretty funny how they're reacting. The boys (especially Rocky) are quite curious about her. Rocky has gone so far as to climb up onto my desk and get just close enough to sniff at her a little bit. Both he and Charlie stare a lot (NEVER seen their eyes so big) and Sega (the girl cat) is just indifferent, as we expected.
Over the next week or so we should be able to bring her out into the rest of the apartment on a regular basis so that the cats will actually know what's going on. in the meantime though, we're splitting between cuddling the baby and cuddling them, so that they don't feel like we've forgotten them. They had a hard enough time with us being gone for the better part of five days.
Eve is just a little joy. What amazes me is her hypnotic ability to put people to sleep. She'll lay on my chest, and i just instantly want to take a nap. That's helped me and especially T catch up on the sleep we've missed.
Anyway, pictures to come later. I still haven't sorted thru them.
