TM #321 - Cool
Cool. It is something Hiro has never had, in any sense of the word. Ando has a way with girls that he envies sometimes, though he'd prefer a long-term relationship over Ando's constant flirting. Nathan has a cool ability; Hiro always dreamed flying would be his power.
He's never been a cool guy. He panics easily, can't make himself not react to situations. Even though he can stuff a number of his emotions behind the masks he's built since his youth, he can't ever totally hide his reactions. And he certainly can't make them go away. His father called him a fidget - always moving like a fish, never still enough to apply himself to anything. Hiro supposes it's part of the reason he's never been much of a businessman. He can't develop the interest in it, nor the sang froid necessary to do what has to be done in the name of the bottom line.
Most of the time, Hiro doesn't mind not being the cool guy. He can console himself with the fact that he does have one of the coolest powers in the universe.
