"I can't be alone when I speak of Axl Rose as a personality that I've always felt more akin to than many people I have called my friends. His music, antics, lyrics, and words have stayed with me for the last 15 years. Sans Guns N Roses I might have done something productive with my life instead of wasting it on the failed chase of rock n roll dreams. Awe inspiring. The balls it took to do things like the "Garden of Eden" video. Classic. The lineup couldn't have had more character, each commanding their own attention, different in a decisive way yet an integral part of the whole. As if they were brought together by a great writers imagination, never to be duplicated. I mowed lawns in Indiana to get G N R shirts and buy live "imports" at outrageous prices. G N R were a world apart. No pussy glam shit, just straight up dangerous American rock n roll that makes no apologies. "Look at what we've done to the innocent and young." Anytime I see some press involving Axl I feel something deeper, something that has inadvertantly affected my person in a significant manner. G N R totally changed my life and had a deciding hand in the person I am today, and I don't want to see the band asunder. I don't accept Velvet Revolver and don't want to see G N R pull a real comeback and turn into Aerosmith. I'd be far happier with some "lost" studio tracks. Axl was the only hero I ever had growing up, and I prefer him gone. With dignity. The whole world keeps talking about how Jay Z is leaving at the top of his game. Then why is he still all over the telivision? Axl never pulled that shit. He got fed up, rightfully so, and fucking left. G N R closed the book on rock and roll. The last and greatest American rock band, all others pale in their comparison. Nothing of worth has come since. The biggest band on the planet during their active reign, the only ever seen in that position that DESERVED such esteem. G N R mean more to me at the age of 26 than it ever meant to anyone I have ever known."

what a douche!
