i was thinking about getting a group of people together, like a community of people to do weekly projects, similar to Illustration Friday (www.illustrationfriday.com). the point of it would be similar, but instead of just having drawings/paintings, it would also revolve around other still life media, such as photography and 3D. each week, there would be a theme... maybe a song title, or even a current events theme that you would have to complete by the end of the week. you can put as much time as you would like into these little projects. 5 minutes or 5 hours, it doesn't matter.
the point being is to create a community of friends/family/ whoever wants to join to practice their creative skills, and to most importantly, HAVE FUN! it would also be a good way to get your name out there. the easiest (and cheapest aka- free) way would to create a flickr account or blogger account, and to post all entries on the blog. we can even create a livejournal community or a myspace group promoting this fun little project. if you are interested, or know other people interested, let me know! i am thinking about even having a theme due by next saturday or sunday, if it would be possible to get a bunch of people involved before then. if you are interested, let me know.
