it has been one hell of a busy week. it was my fist week at my new job. i'm working at things from another world, the comic book store at universal's city walk (shopping area outside the universal studios hollywood park for those of you who don't know). it's awesome. my co-workers rock. my managers are really cool too. i get to talk about comics pretty much all day. in between carting boxes, doing restock, and washing all the windows on the front of the store whenever i work a morning shift. i'm new, so i get that AWESOME job! ::insert extreme sarcasm here:: nah, its not that bad really. we also have two tvs hooked up to a dvd player, so we watch movies and television shows all day. well, kinda. here are a few highlights from this week:

we also get some mad perks. in addition to our own store employee discount, we also get discounts at most of the other stores on city walk! some are better than others. we get free parking at universal, WHENEVER! we also get included in most special universal employee offers for instance... I GET TO GO TO THE PARK FOR FREE ON TUESDAY!!! i've never actually been to the normal park. i only went once during halloween fright nights one year. i get to bring one guest with me for free as well. i'm hoping john will be able to get out of work to go with me. i'm kinda broke right now, so he foots the bill on pretty much everything. i really want to pay him back for being so awesome!
well, i'm'a try to update this thing more reliably in the coming weeks because heather went home to oakland this weekend, so that we don't suck up each other's text messages. this is a much better way to stay in touch! I MISS YOU HEATHER!
and i still miss jeremy. his "celebration of life" ceremony is at my home church tomorrow, and there was a small private ceremony tonight. obviously, i'm not there and i'm not going. i really couldn't handle that right now. as far as this is concerned, i'm hanging on by a fucking thread right now. rough stuff.
but all in all, i'm doing pretty well. keeping busy, meeting new people, hanging out with friends. this summer is looking pretty good!
