No co-dependent sleeping
It's always the same. She's tired for one reason or another but she can't lay down by herself. I've either got a million things to do or just want to interact in a semi-conscious way.
She wants me to lay down with her. That will make me tired and ruin my focus or will simply defeat the point of spending time together.
It's always only for a minute, but minutes are hours. I'm going to sleep or not. I'm going to spend my day half awake. She's going to ask me to come lay down with her and I will lay down with her for a minute or so because if I don't, I will have to spend half an hour listening to her tell me why she's justified feeling angry. It's a very practical decision.
