What a great post on Grant. We have been to Galena, Il. It is a very historic city, I guess what I am trying to say is that it felt like a step back in time. There are flood gates around the city, I had never seen anythimg like that before. I would love to go back again. We stayed at a B&B there around 1990.

Gene's Dad first name was Grant, it was a family name in tribute to U.S.Grant. Illinois is sure rich in history.
