The show (or at least the part run by Mssrs. Martin, Berryman, Buckland, and Champion) lasted from 930 to 1130, and I did not stop smiling for any of it. I'm gonna go ahead and put this out there: Coldplay is the best live band I've ever seen. Now, I have only seen them a paltry two times, but by tomorrow night...that number will have increased to THREE, everybody. Lemme get the fun quotes out of the way before I forget them:
"This song is about learning choreography and realising you're totally shit...it's called Don't Panic."
"Did you see we changed the stage set-up a lil bit there? We took that from Britney Spears. I know you're thinking that it's just the four of us across the stage...but we're British, and moving 12 feet across the stage is a big step for us."
"We've been to some great places in the past year, and this is definitely one of them."
And then there was the part where I got close enough to Mr Chris Martin for him to sweat on me, if he so chose to do so. He was running around the seats on the floor, so my mom and I decided to go for the gold and ran down to meet him. He looks taller up close, but maybe that's just because he was leading the entire arena in song from an elevated pedestal...not like you had to guess, but that song was In My Place. I love that song. And I love Coldplay.
