A kick in the rear...
Matt went with me to my follow-up doctor's appt. yesterday...
As mentioned earlier, the doctor wanted to talk to me about diabetes medication to take... He prescribed me a certain medication that was kind of a 2-in-1 type. Also, it would help lower my cholesterol... Speaking of cholesterol, like Matt, I am now taking Crestor.
I'll have my liver tested in a month to see if the medications affected it adversely... Then I should see the doctor in December... Most likely that will be the last time I see this particular doctor since the clinic will be owned by Kaiser in January...
Anyway, I'm not freaking out -- it's the kick I probably needed to be truly serious about my health.
On the plus side, my blood pressure is excellent and my kidneys look good... And, I do have a good amount of the good cholesterol, but I do have a lot more of the bad one...
As for Tortuga (Triceratops for Matthew), he or she may have to wait some more, not sure... Just really need to get myself in really good health.
