“You really should watch where your going,” Harry spat out smartly.

So...

Suethor...

Where did you hide the REAL Harry? I mean, clearly Draco took some Polyjuice Potion and turned into Harry to screw up with the student population. Ha, Ha, great joke. Very funny...

No. I mean it. This is a joke right? Because Harry would not say that...

Wait- this isn't a joke?

That's pretty much what I think of when I think of "gem eyes".

At first I didn't think that this warranted the "awful" rating; it has pretty good spelling and grammar, and from the preview she didn't seem an outright 'sue, in that she didn't get the spot on the team. Harry's reaction was more characteristic for a strung-out fifth year Harry than is normal in most fic (even if she only bumped him), and he did the "but she's a slytherin" thing, which, again, for 5th-year-Harry is kinda understandable ( ... )

May I suggest then that you go and watch the Nogstalgia Critic? 8D

He's very funny and rather theraputic in his reviews of childhood movies and such. XD There's even a funny one where he totally geeks over the release of the 7th Harry Potter book... yes, that was a few years back... no I don't care. It was still funny. XD

I really, really don't want to have anyone else's thoughts on the book in my head. I never read any reviews on any of the other books on purpose, and I can't, because if I changed my mind about the books, or decided that I didn't like them, all because of what someone else said, my six-year-old self could never forgive me for that.

But I did watch his review of Independence Day. Which was hilarious, actually. Thank you for introducing me to his work!

It's not a book review. (Although he does make one comment about the book at the end.) He talks with and about the fans waiting in line for the book. He's in-character as the Critic, so the video is snarky, sarcastic and pretty hilarious. (He makes jokes like "I haven't seen so many wizards and fairies since last year's gay pride parade.") Definitely worth a watch.

Don't let any character in the story call your OC "gorgeous" unless you want the Sue!Alarm bell ring in shrill beep-beep-beep throughout the whole ordeal. Just don't.

Unless it's in character for them to fall for every girl they meet and to describe every single one of them as "gorgeous".
