Kayla ran towards the ruins of the Potter house. She turned back to Sirius, who was standing on the edge of the yard, afraid of what he might see, with tears in her eyes.
“They’re dead,” she said flatly.
Kayla walked over to Sirius and hugged him, with a kiss softly on the cheek, then went back towards the house. She stood in the doorway for a minute, staring at everything in front of her, then as she heard the sound of someone walking towards them she turned back towards Sirius. Still crying she whispered, “Good-bye… For now.”
She turned back towards the house and was gone, as Hagrid came from around the corner.
