I am a bit rusty when it comes to Percy Jackson canon, but I am not sure if the Suethor is familiar, either? I mean, in the second chapter, we have Nico claim that members of the Wizarding community can see their monsters- but they are fully human. Also, I noticed that the author is trying their best to loop together events that took place in Harry Potter canon into the canon of the PJO universe. It's made for a confusing story because of how much is going on, and it doesn't make much sense anyway.

As for the Weasley's being abusive, I am not sure I've ever found a story that is good for that trope. It just seems in this case, the author was trying to find an excuse to push Ginny into running away to Camp Half-Blood- and piggybacked off of the family history of some of the other characters. For example, Annabeth who didn't have a very good home life before she made the decision to run away for camp at the age of 7.

The author is taking Harry Potter canon and trying to bend it to explain why it's relevant to the PJO universe. Even if it means that it doesn't make much sense. For example, the stuff with the Sacred 28 being created by Hecate.
