5111: Always Alone - Y/F/N "Y/N" Y/L/N or you sue
The summary for the story featured today made me facepalm for reasons I’ll explain when I get to the summary. And then I discovered the story is a Y/N which isn’t allowed on the pit. Decided to take a quick look at their other stories and discovered all twenty-one of their stories are Y/N stories. The summary makes me face palm, but what makes me actually cringe is the Suethor not realizing this can result in the admins of the pit removing the story if reported. That was at least until I got to the warning.

Summary: “Severus Snape’s secret girlfriend, a 7th-year Muggleborn student in Ravenclaw, gets bullied for only wearing black. What will he do once he finds out?” He wouldn’t do anything, because he doesn’t have a secret girlfriend because he’s in love with Lily Evans.

Sueworts House(s): Quanonreip for Snape being majorly out of character, Tootsietramp for a LOT of things, Bitchiwitch for being a brooding stereotype just so she can be bullied and Snape can sweep in and rescue her.

Possessions: According the Suethor, “I only own Y/N who is 17-18 years old.” I’m quite sure that the Suethor does not own me or any other named person reading their story. I’m also quite sure that there are plenty of us who fall outside of that age range. Oh, and the Sue has one of Snape’s cloaks that she is hugging in his bedchamber. She wears all black instead of her school uniform.
Origin: And then I read the warning which says, “Teacher & student relationship and mentions of bullying.” Also, "Since she's a student of his, they need to keep their relationship a secret. Which is why they only get to spend time together in his private chambers on the weekends. […] Her dormitory mates would just question where she has been sleeping if she was to spend the night with him on weekdays. They don't question it when it's the weekends, for some reason.”
Connection to Canon: The writer wants us to believe Severus Snape would forget about his love for Lily Evans and start an inappropriate relationship with a student which in turn leads him to abusing his power to get revenge on the bullies. He yells at them, takes points away and gives them three months of detention because they apparently bullied her for only wearing black. “They call me a Goth, a weirdo, a freak, and sometimes even a Death Eater.”
Special Abilities: Somehow, on top of Snape being obviously OoC through the entire story, we’re supposed to believe this is going on under everyone’s nose. She is bullied because she wears all black at a school where the standard uniform is "plain black work robes." Even when not wearing the school uniform, I don't think wearing black has the same significance at a Wizarding school as it does a Muggle school.

Notes: I don't buy this idea that her classmates would be less likely to notice she's spending the night with Snape on the weekends as this is a boarding school, yet what really surprises me is that none of the other teachers are noticing. I'm also not buying the whole being made fun of for wearing black.

When he gets closer, he recognises the girl. Y/N. Severus immediately turns angry. Who made her cry?
As no one is near, he crouches down in front of her. "Y/N?" he whispers, slowly putting a hand on her shoulder.
That seems to startle the girl. "S-Sev?" she questions, looking up at him with teary eyes.
His expression softens at that. "What happened?" he gently asks, hoping that she will tell him.
She sniffles. "It's nothing…" she mutters. He's not convinced, though.
"Nothing? How can nothing have happened if you are crying?" he asks as he raises an eyebrow.
Y/N sighs. "Some people are bullying me…" she admits, fresh tears leaving her eyes.
