Connection to Canon: Hermione’s parents abuse her physically even once she turns eighteen because they’re - super abusive?
Origin: The writer decided to push an angst driven storyline.
Special Abilities: Not making any sense, but making a strong character no longer able to take care of herself just so a male can rush in to rescue her.
Notes: Why writers do this honestly baffles me.
