The one thing that I wish these writers would realise is that women are stronger than they are portrayed to be (in these stories). A female Harry Potter wouldn't be any different than the male Harry Potter, except physiologically. I mean the character would be the same and the storyline would be the same as well.

I am not so sure why the writer in this case makes the female version of Harry seem like she is weak, or why she gets special treatment that canon Harry doesn't get.

And the name? That bothers me too.

Yes, I know you're screening these. Not only have I allowed all anonymous comments through, I actually hadn't realized that I'd set anonymous comments to screen when I turned them back on. I had my reasons. I honestly thought the comments were being screened because of LJs anti-spam feature. It's fixed now ( ... )

This. This is why myself and the minions (yourself included) have a bone of contention with their definition of AU. The label of AU should not be used to excuse choices which are made for wish fulfillment purposes.

Don't get me wrong, there was an interesting concept to be found. A AU where a REALLY horrible event happening to Harry (Whether he be male or female) forces Petunia to clean up her act and get over herself and try her damnedest to make amends would be interesting.

But...Yeah, I had a problem with DUMBLEDORE being the one exploiting on the incident. If I made this: He himself would also protect Harry during this time. Doing everything in his power.
