Eh? What’s this thing? Some kind of magic device? A typewriter with a screen? I wonder how it works...If anyone can see this...hello there! Nice to meet you! Charmed, I’m sure, but I’m looking for a bloke named Sirius Black at the moment. I seem to have misplaced him somewhere. You’ll know him if you see him, as I assume he’s probably all pruny ( Read more... )

And he said it wasn't an invasion.

Well, if you mean that difficult black haired boy he's around somewhere. The thing you're using is called a computer, it's a lot nicer than a typewriter.

And alas you have found yourself in the deepest depths of Hell!

Ah, yes. That'd be him. Good to know he's around. But what do you mean "invasion"? What's he gotten himself into without me around to help him get into it?

A computer...it sure seems nicer than a typewriter! And really now? Hell, you say? Funny, I never quite imagined hell to be so nice-looking.

You, the young man, another young man, and older gentleman and the lovely young lady all come from the same world.

It does a lot more things too. As far as what Hell can look like, it could be the most beautiful place in the world and still be Hell if it tortures you. Be prepared for horrible things to come your way, wanton death and destruction, mental attacks and over all indescribable horrors!

That's a good number, though I can think of others I'd like to be here. Is it so uncommon here to be from different worlds though? ...It's kind of amazing to think about though, if you put it like that.

Sounds terribly exciting! I think I'm up for a good challenge. The summer was bound to get boring eventually. It's good timing!

Oh it's quite common to be from different worlds, it's not so common though to end up with 5 people from the same world all one after the other.

Enjoy yourself, I hope you enjoy getting killed over and over.

Really? I can't say I knew anything of different worlds back home. Not really, anyway. That's fascinating though. There must be all sorts of different people here!

Well, I would, except I plan on living, thank you. I think I can make it.

I used to make a point of traveling between worlds before I got here. A plethora of different people, many despairing.

Everyone says that, doesn't mean this place doesn't put an effort out to kill you.

That's spectacular! I'll have to see if I can figure out how to do something like that. I don't think anyone in my world has before. ...Well, besides coming here, but I don't think that counts. But it must be possible. And despairing? That's a shame.

It'd take a lot of effort to succeed in killing my friends and I. I think we'll be fine.

I don't know if your worlds magic will work for it. From what I hear it sounds horribly manual and a lot of pointless work.

It makes a lot of effort in killing all of us. Once it infected everyone with a horrible plague!

Really now? I've found it quite useful, myself. Especially in a pinch. I take it yours is a bit different?

That's not too good. I'll have to be careful then, so that I don't die!

Well, I don't need to use a wand, or speak my spells, and I can do a lot more things that seem... well more limited in your world. I was told your average wizard can't even change into different things.

Extra careful, they watch you.

That's pretty impressive! Those things are possible in our world, but without a wand or words it's far more difficult to do. But it's possible. As for turning into things...it's easier to turn each other into things, but only advanced wizards can turn themselves into things. Because wizards who don't do it right keep the mentality of whatever they were turning themselves into and can't change back. More people could do it, I'm sure, but they have these silly laws and things in place that are fun to ignore.

...They watch me?

I here the most you have are people who can turn into one type of animal or something, I suppose that limits wizard battles of that form, which is an improvement.

Through the mirrors.

It does limit that kind of thing, though there are still wizard duels and things like that. Just not in animal form.

That's good to know. I'll keep that in mind. But...when you say "they", who is that?

It still sounds limiting. But, I keep finding myself curious, it is a good thing to know about other magic methods.

The people on the other side? The people elsewhere? Who knows, maybe your worse nightmares?

I suppose it is, if you can turn into animals and such. I've never thought so though. I can't help but be curious too though. You can never know too much about magic anyway. It gives ideas for new things to try.

How cryptic. This place must be horrid for the paranoid.
