(no subject)

I know of at least one person who claims they've had their fill of quidditch talk. I'd like to avoid the subject for the sake of this person, but to refrain from quidditch talk this week would be like not talking about the weather when it's raining frogs outside. Sorry, Justin.

I myself learned this the hard way. After the long morning practice and my long after-practice nap, I Apparated out to visit the shops because there's a few books I wanted from Flourish and Blotts. I should have just ordered the book by owl post, because Diagon Alley was a complete mad house, especially right around the vicinty of Quality Quidditch Supplies. Now that England's officially in it for the cup all the paraphernalia is really flying off the shelves, I guess. I saw a little kid who was, if I overheard correctly, trying to show his mates his Harry Potter action figurine. I actually didn't know there was a figurine of me? I sort of wondered if they just put a pair of specs on some Nash figurines at the last minute, but I didn't get a good look because the figurine-me was trying to hide under the kid's sleeve.

Anyway, I think the Prophet must have printed a statement from Deacon because everyone seemed to know that I'll be starting on Saturday instead of sitting reserve. Some old man with an alcoholic's nose called me a glory grubber and tried to trip me with his cane, and another guy elbowed me in the back and said that he hoped my broomstick got lodged in a very unpleasant place. On the bright side, a pair of witches asked me to sign their England rosettes, and then insisted on kissing me for luck. I guess I really can't complain about that.

Since I'm starting that means there will be four box seats set aside for my family. So I guess that means Ron and Hermione for sure, and since Remus probably already has his own seat that leaves two open, so... Ginny? not Colin Yeah, Ginny, and how about you, Zach? I was late to work last Saturday and might be late again this Saturday, depending on how long the match is, so I reckon I owe you one.
