Happenings
1. For the last few days I've been working on the film I've mentioned, which has been fun. We're shooting in a canyon about an hour out of LA, and so each morning at 6AM I get picked up from my hostel and taken to the set. I feel like such an actor! They're long days, twelve hours, but the cast and crew are really nice. The producer is a bit crazy, but he's produced about 50 B-movies, so I trust him enough. Hopefully this means that I'll get on IMDB once it's done, too. Thankfully I have a few days off until we shoot more, so I can sleep in.
2. On one of my casting sites that I use, I found a casting notice for a "music video" being produced by a church in the OC. This is one of the roles they're casting, which I found quite funny.
JESUS / No Union Affiliation / Guest-Star / Male / 25-35
JESUS: Must resemble Jesus. Long hair essential and slightly tanned. Must also have nice looking feet as you will be walking on the sand along the beach in your bare feet
3. I think I might be flying to New York next week, but hopefully I'll be able to stay a bit longer. I'm having a lot of fun doing this film now and want to stick around and do more!
4. I completely forgot to write about this earlier, so I might as well now. About a month ago, when I was in San Francisco, through an absolute fluke I managed to go to an Aimee Mann concert. I had no idea she was in town until I saw it in a newspaper which was lying in a street. This all happened about two hours before the show was supposed to start. So I raced down to the theatre, and they still had tickets left. And they were really close to the stage. Fuckin' fate. It was great.
5. After having my US mobile phone for about two months, I've finally figured out how to put it on vibrate. And I feel great about it!
