Went to see Click last night. I have to say that I thought it was the best Adam Sandler movie ever...but I might be biased, because I adore Kate B. :D Anyway, I'll include a little lj-cut telling what I thought of the movie, for those of you who want to see it and haven't yet.
Well, the beginning was normal. There was the very funny parts, as are usually found in Adam Sandler movies. It had the typical father working his ass off for a company and trying to get promoted, while letting the job interfer with his personal life. He finds the remote and uses it mainly to skip things like fights, sickness, showering, dinner, and things like that. He even fast forwards past sex once. Unfortunately, it begins to learn what he does and then it does it on its own. That's where the serious parts of the movie begin. He fast forwards to his next promotion, which doesn't come for a whole year. After that, he realizes that he and his wife have been having major problems. It then fast forwards to his next promotion to ceo, where he is old, fat, and devorced. He gets knocked over by a dog later, and loses 6 years because he has cancer and skips being ill. The next time he gets fast forwarded again, he finds out his father had died, and the last time he saw his dad, he had been really mean and rude. Well, that's when I started to tear up and I didn't recover till the end of the movie, really. Then, he skips ahead again, to where his son is getting married. He has a heart attack when he hears his daughter call Donna's new husband "dad". When he wakes up, he's in the hospital and his son and daughter are there. When his son tells him that he cancelled the honeymoon because of work, Michael (Adam's character) loses it) He escapes the hospital, not caring that the machines were keeping him alive. Once outside, he runs to the cab, trying to stop his family. Luckily, his son sees him and the entire family runs to him. He tells the son that forever comes first and to go on the honeymoon (I'm crying by now), he tells his daughter that he loves her, he flips off and then tells the other man that he's okay, and then he gives donna the napkin where he wrote down, "Will you still love me in the morning?" (as she did on their first kiss date) and she tells him "Forever and ever babe" (as he had replied in the past.) Then he dies. After he dies, he relizes it had all been a dream and he vows to change everything, becuase he doesn't want to lose everything again. When he recieves the remote as a gift, he does the smart thing...throws it away. Good boy, Michael. With a wife as hot as Donna (Kate) you needed to ship up and get everything right. :D Hee hee.
Anyway, it's nice to be able to post on here without problems with the internet, eh? HEe hee.
