Need major help! I don't know what to wear to my friend's, brother's Bar Mitzvah... Opinions needed
One questions... what would you say is "casual, smart, party clothes"? I got an invitation to a Bar Mizvah. It's my friend's brother, who I tutored math in. I bought a pair of black pants, and this pastel greeny sort of coloured sweater, and brown (not too high heeled) boots to wear to the service. But I'm not sure what to wear to the actual party.
I have this black dress, I want to wear that, but it's sleeveless so I want to put some sort of top over, but I don't know what kind. I saw this pretty, sweatery, white wraparound at Gap (but it was $70-80ish CAD), and a similar shirt at Fairweather ($50ish, but it's one of those buy one get the second half off).
There's also this (
GAP Supersoft Shrug ), also at Gap, but I don't know if they have the same one at the store closest to me. It's 19.99 USD, which is about *maybe?* $30.00 canadian. The other ones I was interested in were -
Ballet Wrap Sweater , and
Tie Front Cardigan . I'd love to know what you guys think. And if you have any other links to things you think would match with a "little black dress", I'll love it if you leave a comment!
And I need a shoe to go with my dress and whatever sweater I'm wearing. I saw these sorta "ballet inspired" shoes at Sears, the Bay, and Payless (hehe... payless has the cheapest ones, but I don't think I'll wear them much so cheap is good).
Celena Ruching Bow Flat is nice, but I don't like the colors given, and I don't like the color of the heel.
Aurora Bow Ballet - again, I'm not a huge fan on the colors, but the style's really cuteLivia Ballerina Flat - This one I really like, but I don't think they had them at the Payless beside meKisses Knot Sandal - I like these, but I think they're a bit hard to walk in (I tried them on in the store) And makeup, I don't want to go overboard, so does anyone think just pale coloured eyeshadow (probably pinky, beige, or coppery), foundation/concealer, clear lip gloss, and a coat of mascara is too little? Or should I just skip the eyeshadow all together?
I'd love your opinion, and links to other sites would be good too.
