I looked up everyone that died before I read it. I'm a spoiler loving kid, I suppose.

Hedwig was out of nowhere and kind of lame.

Kreacher was awesome. I love Kreacher now. Especially when he burst through the doors at the end leading an army of house elves!

I agree, the middle seemed to drag on a bit.

Godric's Hollow seemed a bit pointless to me, to be honest. And Bathilda having a snake come out of her head was thoroughly disturbing.

Luna's room creeped me out. I mean... giant pictures of friends all linked together by "friend" chains? It's just... too much. Seems like something a serial killer would have.

I mourned Dobby. He was so annoying and suddenly he was a hero, but dead.

Harry using unforgivable curses was so bizarre, and Professor McGonnagal! I totally agree that if Harry's going to use them then he may as well have avada kedavra-d Voldemort.

Battle of Hogwarts was amazing. Though I wish the duels would have gone into a bit more detail.

Ron and Hermione... bleh. What do you mean transition into a couple? Haven't they been together since the end of the sixth book, really? I mean... the whole Ron being territorial with the horcrux and always putting his arm around her. They may not have snogged, but they acted enough like they were together.

I didn't really mourn Fred that much. Maybe because I knew it was coming? But then when JKR completely undermined Lupin and Tonks' deaths I was kind of like "...what? They leave an orphaned child and get one sentence while Fred gets this whole big deal even though he has a backup named George?"

I was kind of bored when Harry was walking to his death because I knew he was going to be resurrected. Very anticlimactic.

I didn't like Harry's duel with Voldemort much. Harry was all "Let me brag like a little kid because 'I know something you don't know, neener neener.'"

Epilogue = painful. Bah.

I'm still wondering what the whole significance of Harry having Lily's eyes was, or what Dudley saw when the dementors came, or what it was that Petunia wanted to say. Or the nineteen years that transpired before the epilogue. I think we need 19 books to clarify?

I read an article on a chat session JKR held and it said that when the Dementors came, Dudley saw himself for who he really was and it was painful enough to light the spark in the change we saw in our brief stay at the Dursleys in Deathly Hallows.

Well, that's a bit... lame? I mean, yay for moral goodness and everything, but didn't Dudley already realize what sort of a person he was? Harry seemed to make it pretty clear in the 5th book when he insulted Dudley's character at the park, yet Dudley was proud of who he had become. Sort of.
Sorry... I ramble sometimes.

Well that's what JKR said. Besides, I don't trust Sasuke lovers.

harry had lilys eyes and snape was in love with lily.. so im thinking that the only reason snape "protected" harry while at hogwarts was because harrys eyes reminded snape of lily.

I thought the only reason Snape looked after Harry was because Dumbledore basically demanded it of him. I mean, it's not as if Snape ever saw Harry and his eyes before the first year, yet he was still helping Dumbledore to protect him.

not quite. You just missed a major point of the series. I guess this is precisely why JKR doesn't consider Snape a hero. Why was Snape following DD's orders in the first place? His principal motivation was his love for Lily otherwise he wouldn't have bothered with Harry or Dumbledore at all.

I didn't miss that point. I know Snape liked Lily and that influenced his decision to listen to Dumbledore's demands. What I meant was that, Lily's eyes couldn't have played a role in that because Snape had never seen Harry to know that he had Lily's eyes while he was protecting Harry the first 11 years of his life.

Ooh hellllll no you did not just call George a "back up" of Fred. What's wrong with you? Ugh, You disgust me.
Even though this comment was posted in 2007 and it's been a long time since then, There was definately not that big of a reaction to Fred's death, okay, let's get that straight first, and I believe that George and Fred did have their differences, and just because George is there doesn't mean he can ever replace Fred and their family won't think that either. That is definately an ignorant comment on your part, and I don't think George was ever the same after that, so his death was a big deal even though you think it wasn't. Yes, I agree that Remus and Tonk's should've got more, but George is definately not a backup of Fred, wtf? That's all I have to say, is W.T.F, even though you'll never read this, so what's the point? Just had to get my frustrations out. :) Thanks for listening.
