For the record, Everything is not on the internet. I can neither find a good source of Nigerian recipes (the few ones I've found either seem way too simple, and/or using ingredients I'd have to import), and there aren't any good translations of Jorge Luis Borges into English.
There was a book that translated selected poems of Jorge Luis Borges into English. It was published in 1999. It's now out of print. o_o
I like comparing notes to the (few) Borges poem translations I've found; it's interesting stuff.
Oh, and this is my last final that I'm worried about: write a 6-page paper on something about poetry, with 5 sources; I chose to compare three poems of Jorge Luis Borges' in succession (meaning I also have to translate them! Grr. If I have to translate 'caducidad' one more time...) - which to me, really feels like 3 2-page papers. It was supposed to be due today, but I was too busy with other finals for the entirety of this past week to do it any earlier this week (nevermind earlier than this week. I thought that a week was enough time to do an 8-page paper, a take-home bluebook final, and this 6-page paper...). And I'm also not going to have 5 sources; I mean, 5 sources for 6 pages? Maybe 3 sources - the book of poetry, and two people analyzing his poetry who disagree with each other. Perhaps I can wikipedia Borges, or throw in a reference to
Tommaso Palamidessi into my paper; he lived at about the same time as Borges, and 'caducity' is, I think, a reference to this guy's philosophy of Archeosophy. Ooh, and then I can hop to an Archeosophy article, also on Wikipedia! Maybe I can vary my sources and quote from Brittanica online, or something like that.
Yeah, so a day late (meaning half a grade down) and less than 5 sources (something down, unless I can get some more web sources, and assuming that that will fly.)
Sorry if this was a bit ranty; I've actually been really busy this week. Nice to talk to y'all!
