(no subject)
Well hello friends and others....
I know-it's been a while! And I'd just like to say Happy Thanksgiving to everyone now-cause who knows the next time I'll get to a computer long enough to do this.
What's Dena Jo been up to you ask????
Well...this past summer I was at Rabbit Run a bit. Helped out with Music Man backstage-go figure!
Then it was full on at Barnes and Noble-I left FYE for those who don't know.
Then I stage managed Picass at the Lapin Agile at Willoughby Fine Arts. It was a fun show-hard at times-but eye opening for me. But with that show I have some new people in my life-well actually they're not completely new-I've known them-but now get to see them and call them friends and such. Which was nice-you know those people that you really like but somehow kind of lose touch after a show or what not-and it's kind of a bummer. Well now I actually see those people. So who are these people you ask? Well, I'll describe a few to give you an idea and so you know who i'm talking about in later stories if and when i ever post them.
Ann-I've worked with her on a couple shows but finally got to stage manage for her and get invited to the famous Halloween Party! She's a great woman-someone easy to talk to and very good at spotting positive things happening in my life and pointing them out to me.
Paul-the TD at FAA. He's a riot. Very talented designer and builder. Likes West Wing! Finally someone to talk to about my favorite show! And you never know what's going to come out of his mouth-which makes it even more interesting. Very different from Ray!
Tommy-Total sweetheart! Smart and funny-and can probably take anything apart and put it back together in minutes. Fun to be around-can be silly or serious with him- you always feel listened to. An adventorous spirit and gives great hugs! (and people know i'm a big critic of hugs!) Just damn fun to be around! Goober-someone to travel with us!!!
But without going on and on-and i could-i've been lucky-they let me come and paint for Peter Pan! And I've had such a blast-and they haven't gotten sick of me-or at least not enough to tell me to go away yet.
My aunt and uncle moved to Florida-sad, Skeezy passed away in the same week-sad. That was a hard week-but you know what I went out for milkshakes that night with Suzanne, Matt M and Tommy-it was so nice. It was a big sigh of relief and stress reliever that night. I was very grateful to them.
Which goes to my rant for the night-always make sure people know they're appreciated! And never take the people in you life for granted! I know I've said this before-but lately I've had many a message pointing towards that lesson. The relationships you create and sustain are really what we're all about. Read Desmond Tutu-he'll tell you all about it!
Other than that-life is good-different and changing...and good-I'm really happy at the moment. That could have something to do with the neck massage i got today-THANKS-becuase the tension has melted out of my neck and now i can hold my head up without pain!
Weddings and pregnancies have kept me completely excited for my friends and all the wonderful things happening in their lives. So happiness is good! Not that I don't miss everyone I haven't talked to in months-i do! But you all know that I think of you often!
Come see Peter Pan-I know the guy in charge of making the people fly-he won't let you down-i don't know if Peter can handle flying facing the correct direction but she'll move smoothly!
Okay-well-this is like a book and i really need to go to my work meeting soon...it's sad to leave you all but i must
