Well I was almost not going to rant about the Sherlock fandom but then fucking shit and
No seriously how is this fandom such a fucking cesspool and yet so proud of themselves
The fandom is actively unfriendly towards autistic fans, from discussions about how LOL BUT WE WOULD ALL HATE SHERLOCK IRL BECAUSE HE'S AN AUTISTIC FREAK to STOP SAYING SHERLOCK IS AUTISTIC, YOU'RE PROJECTING/HE'S TOO HIGH-FUNCTIONING/I HAVE TO DEAL WITH AN AUTISTIC SIBLING AND IT ISN'T 'CUTE'/IT'S 'WITH AUTISM' NOT 'AUTISTIC'
And fucking fatphobia literally everywhere.
And stanning for everybody involved in the production of the show even though most of them are seriously not very great people and uphold a hell of a lot of oppression
And fucking shit come on I would just like to be able to discuss the show with other autistic fans without allistic fans barging into the fucking conversation to lecture us for fucking daring to act like we're people and not terrible burdens on our families I get enough of that FROM MY FAMILY.
Or maybe just look at some Sherlock .gifs without having to deal with constant fatphobia and ableism and fucking SHIT
