In which I met all of my favorite people
Friday was a most magical day for me!
So I'm like REALLY into youtube and "youtube celebrities" and a bunch of them are on tour together. I really didn't shut up about in on Facebook or Twitter. So these people that went on tour were Olan Rodgers, LiveLavaLive, Meekakitty, Nanalew, Jason Munday and ALEX CARPENTER (my number one favorite person on youtube). I HAD to go, and I did. I got a ticket for my friend who couldn't afford to go (She's a huge Meekakitty and Nanalew fan).
She had work so I met her at a mall in Northern VA (the show was in Maryland). I got there a bit early so I got a pretzel and John Green's new book The Fault in Our Stars and waited for her to get there.
After parking and getting lost a bit trying to find the venue we made it! We got there about 10 minutes before the show started but I think it started a bit late. There weren't a lot of people there at all. We basically walked right up to the stage. It was standing room only so I was "second row." VERY close (you will see how this benefitted me later).
So first was Olan Rogers. He was the opener so his set was really short. Basically he did a stand up comedy act. He was FANTASTIC. He has really great energy. I'd seen like half of one of his videos before but he was really good.
Next was Meekakitty (or Tessa) and Nanalew (Shawna). These girls are SO FUNNY. They have awesome weird humor that I ADORE. They sang songs about Space Crustaceans, Lizard Love, and Hipsters. They talked a bit told funny stories and were just all around amazing. They seemed a bit nervous, but this was only their 2nd show so it was understandable (I don't think either of them have done something like this before either).
3rd was LiveLavaLive.I had seen a few of their videos before but wasn't too impressed (maybe I just watched the wrong ones) but they were HILARIOUS. I was in tears from laughter at one point. They gave out hugs in the the middle of the show and were just really great in general. They were the headliners so most of the audience was there for them.
I was there (mostly) for Jason Munday and ALEX FREAKING CARPENTER. They played some music for us! I was most excited to see these two so before hand I couldn't stand still. So Alex and Jason got on stage. Kind of sad that Alex was on the other side of the stage from where I was but I was like right in from of Jason. During one of their songs Alex got off the stage and went to stand on the barricade over the crowd. He did it on both sides and RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME HOLY CRAP. I have never fangirled so hard in my LIFE. After he went away I turned to my friend grabbed onto her arm and almost collapsed. They played their adorable nerdy songs and I tried my best to sing along and during their last song (which is called The Bacon song) all the other acts came out on stage and danced around.
The show finished and we went to go buy some MERCH and all the acts hung around and did meet and greets.
The first one I met was Alex. I had no idea what to say to him and oh dear I was so nervous. My friend helped me out a bit. I got a picture with him which is now my facebook profile pic AND my phone background. He is such a nice guy. Seriously. I really admire him a lot and meeting him was just so special for me (even though I didn't say the things I wanted to say).
I met Jason after I got my shirt and stuff. Then we stood in line to meet Tessa and Shawna. Those two are so sweet. They gave us all hugs. Shawna talked to my friend and I for a few minutes while Tessa signed a poster. We got pics too~
Went to go talk to Mitchell from LiveLavaLive. Neither of us were fans before and we wanted to tell him that we were totally subscribing. That seemed to make him really happy~ He gave me a hug and we took pics.
At this point the venue was kicking everyone out so we didn't get to meet Kyle from LiveLavaLive or Olan. So my friend and I went home~
Sent a tweet to Alex saying I loved the show and that I think he's just the nicest guy ever and then This happened:
I freaked out just a LITTLE. <3
Made a post about my time at the tour on tumblr with pics and stuff and these people liked it:

I'm so glad I got to go!! Some of these people are my biggest inspirations and I can't even describe how happy I am to have had the pleasure to meet them. If they come around this area again (or I am in their area) and they are playing a show I'm TOTALLY going.
