Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 aka THE END OF EVERYONE'S CHILDHOOD

Jul 20, 2011 21:48

I've seen this 3 times so far. The first time was at the advanced screening for the NYC premiere on the 11th. Then at midnight on the 15th and finally today (the 20th) by myself. First two times was in 3D and the 3rd time was in 2D.

I solemnly swear I am up to no good )

Absolutely right on the Resurrection Stone scene! I bawled my eyes out when I watched it for the first time (I kept taking out my 3d glasses to wipe the tears) and when I got to catch HP for the second time, I was still a crying mess at the exact scene.

I was also a bit sad about Harry not repairing his wand. So he just claimed Draco's wand as his own? I dunno, I feel weird about that. o_0

And woot Neville for slaying Nagini! That part was awesome! I liked how they managed to show how his character developed from a wimpy, scaredy-cat kid to this take-charge no-holds-barred leader.

Little Albus is sooo adorable! I kinda wish they extended the scene a bit more, where you get to see that James goofin' around and Tonks and Lupin's son, Ron teasing his daughter, Harry giving Draco that court nod and little Scorpius etc. I laughed a little at Harry, Ron, Hermione and Ginny because in spite of the makeup and wardrobe they look exactly the way they did 19 years before.

Overall, I loved the last film, and twas the perfect way to end my childhood. <3 Now I want to see it again!
