Personality:
The first word that comes to mind thinking of Ciel personality is "pride". Ciel is an extremely prideful person and is certainly not afraid to show it. He takes pride in his family's name, in his company, in his social status and of course, in his own abilities. He's above common people, and he knows it- in fact, he's rarely seen interacting with people of a lower social status unless in disguise.
Despite that, it's wrong to say Ciel views poor people as inferior. He is merely acting as a noble should, and isn't particularly concerned about common folk. Rather, he isn't particularly concerned about people in general, unless he happens to somehow get tied with them by circumstances.
While he can come off as a rather cold person, the truth of the matter is that he's not exactly. While it's true he rarely gets emotionally involved in things, he's actually prone to bouts of anger and yelling, especially at Sebastian. Furthermore, he is genuinely entertained by challenges and makes no effort to hide his amusement at them. Probably due to the fact he's very confident and prideful, and that can make him come off as pretty smug. He's also very competitive and does not like to lose.
Particularly grumpy, Ciel almost always has a sour look on his face and is certainly not someone to hide his displeasure with things- although he may be more or less polite in doing it depending on who he's dealing with. Since he's a noble, he obviously knows how to act in high society, even if he isn't someone to take part in social gatherings to begin with.
For the most part he's a serious young man. He's pretty focused on his work and loyally performs his duty, even going to great lengths just to succeed. At the end of the day, though, Ciel is still a kid and can act as such, particularly when he's annoyed and, again, mostly at Sebastian who rightfully describes him as a "selfish master". That statement is actually pretty spot-on.
Though Ciel isn't going out of his way to hurt other people, he follows his own agenda and is willing to sacrifice whoever crosses his path if need be. He isn't overly concerned with other people's feelings, even though he may show kindness to people from time to time (but even then, he doesn't admit it was an act of kindness and comes up with a reason as to why it was necessary for him/his plans/his business).
Despite being so determined and not willing to take steps back, he does still feel a hint of remorse over some of his actions, even if he doesn't feel regret. Still, he's seen explaining why each action is necessary multiple times, and sometimes, his reasoning sounds like he's trying to justify his own actions to himself than to anyone else. In short, he feels guilt, but not only doesn't he admit it, he tries to find ways to put that feeling to rest.
In general, unless he's acting a part (and it's that case, it's obviously all fake), Ciel isn't open about his deeper feelings. He hates to show weakness to pretty much anyone, and even when it comes to positive feelings such as affection, he is very recluctant to show them. At one point he even states that he has forgotten how to smile happily.
Ciel's whole motivation comes from his desire for revenge, however, it's not really revenge for his parent's death. As he says, what he wants is to make those who betrayed the Phantomhive family to experience the same pain and humiliation he was forced to endure- this is yet another proof of just how prideful he is.

Character Abilities: Ciel doesn't really have any supernatural abilities, but he is pretty smart and perceptive. He's a quick thinker and a good planner, so he's pretty good at coming up with strategies.
