This is the new paradigm of the new citizen. We've refused to learn from history, we've refused to educate ourselves, and we've refused to listen to anyone. This is why nations have fallen in the past, but it doesn't mean it's the end of everything. It makes me wonder how long the rest of the world will put up with our imperial consumerism, or consumer imperialism, or whatever. Everyone is noticing these feelings now. They're all realizing it for the first time.
