I have missed you. I am a bad journalist. There are many ways to document my life; I only wish you hadn't fallen out of favor. This still seems the most appropriate place to document moments of embarrassment. Well I am afraid that I am the dumb fat lazy American that I feared becoming. Everything in this country is automated from doors to toilets, and the kitchen garbage has joined the ranks. Voila, it opens with a simple wave or gesture of the hand. I went outside with some recycling items. I approached the bin and waited a good 5 seconds before waving my hand and proceeded to wait another 15 seconds for it to open. The life of convenience will lead to the fall of man.
