commitment
Commitment to another or commitment to self? I think these are two very separate issues. To commit to another takes a lot of effort, but if you are in love with that person, that effort becomes minimal. And the resulting fireworks you have in your soul for that person can out weigh all other difficulties that you both may encounter. And a committed relationship is safe, like a warm blanket.
To commit and hold true to yourself, is more difficult. Many do not stay true to themselves, and bend to the will of others. Their paths become clouded, their Way is lost to them. I know this, for it happened to me.
But with time, and guidance my path was clear again. I have many to thank for that. Eli, for one.
Xena has always done her best to show me the results of her Way; her commitment to self.
