democracy? what's that?
What's better: democracy or monarchy?
::scratches head:: What's a democracy? ::pulls out her scrolls and begins researching::
::leans over her shoulder and yells back at Xena:: XENA! There are forms of government where people get to make the decisions and elect their rulers! ::silence, and then mumbling:: No, Xena.... the kings were not killed... ::a moment later:: I doubt they are all royalty. It sounds like a wonderful place! ::muffled voice:: It does too. ::muffled:: Yes, it does. ::muffled:: They are not going to descend into anarchy! Xena, how many warlords have we run into in our lives? How many towns could have been spared had they not been led by one ruler who's only claim to a throne was by good old Uncle Alcaeus being called to Tartarus!
::a long pause, voices are heard::
Well, ok the Olympians are an exception, Xena. But they are Gods. They don't count. ::stops to consider:: But what if they were a democracy? ::a pause: Oh Xena, the trees would not become covered in pink taffeta, nor would the oceans turn pink either. Aphorodite is persuasive, but not that much.
