Thanks for the rec. I never get tired of those. I'll also read your PPC as soon as I get a chance. I loved your prologue.

As far as your story, it sounds like you have a pretty good chance. The two actual characters sound nice and even keel and not at all over the top. As far as the third, I would need to know a little more about her involvement in the story, but from what you're saying about her being a personification of a force of nature, I'd assume that as long as you treat her as such, she'll probably be ok too.

A lot of times, quite sadly, people who report Sues and things like that turn around and write them themselves. However, considering that you literally wrote the PotC Litmus, I think you're well aware of what would and would not make a PotC OC a Sue.

Personally, when all else fails I just honestly ask myself: If I heard about this story or read it and it wasn't mine would I be tempted to report it?

Let me know when you put any of it up. You wouldn't know it, but I'm actually rather fond of OCs. Which is probably why I hate the fact that the Mary Sue epidemic has given them such a bad name.
