Marvel's "Civil War" Comic Storyline
Just ended...
And THAT was what I was waiting SINCE MAY for? SUDDENLY Captain America just CHANGES HIS FUCKING MIND?!?!?!?!
I hate to admit it, but the RUMORED ideas (Captain America hides out as Ronin -or- Captain America is a Steve Rogers clone, the real Steve is actually Iron Man and TOny has been his public face) of the end were MUCH BETTER!
This happened way too suddenly, and the seventh and final book barely made any sense. They could have spent a little extra time, written a few extra pages and gotten it right. THis was rushed and frankly a mess. DC's Infinity Crisis was WAY better than this if for nothing else, it ended well. Civil War had the potential to be a line redefining moment (like DC had with Crisis on Infinite Earths), instead, we now get... A BUNCH of new supergroups.
Because we ALL know how WELL that does. (Where exactly ARE the West Coast Avengers and the Defenders and the New Defenders and Alpha Flight and half the X teams and...)
