You did not so much as hit a walk-off home run as the Republicans made a costly error with the bases loaded. A bunch of the chairs you won, you won just because people are sick of this war--whether they never were for it, or used to be for it and now want out. This is not a mandate for your party so much as a mandate for CHANGE.
Still, a win is a win and you have won. You have won the right to make the President a lame duck. You have two choices now: either to go after the President and all his cabinet, policies, wars, etc. and bog down the country for the next two years with subpoenas and indictments and possibly even impeachment proceedings, or you can choose to try to bring about change by pushing aside partisan politics.
Either or.
Now, do EVERYONE a favor... Pick a direction, ANY direction, band together (for a change) and WIELD THAT FUCKING HAMMER!
