Introduction
Name:Stephanie
Age:18
Location:California
Nicknames, or what you prefer to be called:Steph...a few select people call me Padfoot, but not so much anymore.
About You
Three positive adjectives about yourself:creative, intelligent, free-spirited
Three negative adjectives about yourself:stubborn, whiny, loud (at times)
A few of your likes:Writing, reading, movies, poetry/poetry slamming and performance. ANYTHING to do with English/Literature or books...ANYTHING. Anything to do with liberal arts. Animals.
A few of your dislikes:Math and Science stuff, mean people on the internet...other stuff that I can't think of at the moment.
A few of your pet peeves:Immaturity, People who act stupid in order to be cool, extreme arrogance, mean customers who yell at me at work (I'm a cashier at a grocery store...LOL)
A few of your talents and hobbies (please differentiate between the two):
Talents:I can play three instruments - the trumpet, piano, and guitar (although, I kind of suck at the guitar), I can write pretty well, and poetry slam. I can type really really fast.
Hobbies: Um...writing (sorry, it goes under both categories), poetry slamming/poetry. Archery.
Where do you see yourself in ten years (include things like the job you’d like to have, where you’d like to live, if you are married or not, etc): In ten years, I want to be teaching English at either a High School or College level (I'm not sure which yet...if high school..I want like...HONORS 12th grade. LOL), I want to be writing my novel on the side, and I want to be living with either a boyfriend or married to a wonderful, supportive, intelligent guy. I really want to either be here (in Southern California) or in New York somewhere in the city among all the chaos that I seem to thrive in. Somewhere where a lot goes on..nightlife, adventure, etc...
Your motto on life, or how you like to live it:All you need is love. Seriously. And I don't only mean a girl/boy relationship level. I mean all aspects of love. Compassion, truth, happiness, LOVE. But, don't get me wrong. I am a sneaky little devil. I'm pretty mischeivous at times...and I get what I want. But, it won't contradict what I believe.
Your three favorite books and why they’re your favorites:Harry Potter series (Yeah it counts as one book STFU...LOL) because it is amazing and creative and just draws you in to the story and entire world. "To Kill A Mockingbird" because it is about morality and the truth and pain of life and people who live it. Atticus Finch is...one of the greatest characters in literature. "Crime and Punishment" because it is about redemption...and I believe in that hope for redemption.
Your three favorite movies and why they’re your favorites:(I won't say Pirates for the sake of...C'MON THAT'S OBVIOUS) "Moulin Rouge"!!! Truth. Beauty. Freeom. Love. Enough said. "Pulp Fiction" because beyond all the language and violence it is also an amazing story about redemtion and the way people's lives intertwine. And the dialogue is brilliant. "Casablanca" just because it is classic and makes me cry. It is about giving up what you love for the greater good. Brilliant. SO MANY MORE, but I'm limited to three.
Where do you feel most at home?
Pirates Related
Why do you like Pirates of the Caribbean?:The story is great and I can remember riding the ride for the first time with my older brother when I was little. I always was fascinated by pirates and I can remember playing "pirates" as a kid. The movies had charismatic, awesome characters, and they keep me on the edge of my seat while laughing at the same time. (Ok, I'm serious, I was...GONE the first time I saw Dead Man's Chest. I mean...at the midnight premiere...I was IN that movie, I swear. That's how into it I was. I forgot reality for 2 hours)
Who’s your favorite character and why? (This does not mean who you feel you’re most like):I love Barbossa, I really do. I mean, Jack's awesome...and I'm a gigantic Johnny Depp fan who's seen every one of his movies and whatnot...but Barbossa is funny and, I dunno, I just kind of felt sorry for him in a way. I mean, he's a pirate, and he may have screwed over Jack, but somehow I just still really wanted the guy to have his apple for all of Black Pearl. I flipped when I saw him come walking down the stairs in Tia Dalma's hut. Made me love him even more. I've got mad love for Elizabeth too. She's actually one female character that I LIKE instead of one who annoys the crap out of me. I seriously think she's awesome.
Who do you feel you are least like in Pirates and why?Um, Cutlet Beckett 'cause he is way lame. He's annoying, strict, politician-like...and...yeah...lame.
