Davy Jones and land

How about a try to get this old boat on the move? :) For a start, a question which I've discussed once in other place, but I'm sure you can add a lot.

If Davy Jones can have the sea in a bucket, what'll happen if he steps onto a patch of sand brought onboard of the Dutchman, or any other ship? In some folklore traditions, a popular way to be safe from ghosts, evil powers and such, is sprinkling around oneself a circle of salt, or drawing it with a piece of chalk. So maybe there was some hidden sense in the jar of dirt indeed? Was it supposed to be a pocket store of land? On the forum I've discussed it, we laughed it asks for a multiplayer action game: Jack sprinkles sand around himself, and Jones comes with a broom...

And anyway, what is your idea for the result occurring if Jones would happen to step over the border and enter the range of, ahem, the curse's sensor? Would be he burnt down in a second? Undignifiedly catapulted back to the sea? A huge finger appears and threatens, with a voice “Thou shalt not pass, you naughty urchin”? Speaking of what, where actually the border is? Does a ship need to have a fathom of water below? Does a bucket need to be full? Is half-full enough? Just the wet bottom? Is mangrove forest land or sea? Maybe the curse gets sort of thickening when there's less and less water and more and more ground, and he at last wouldn't be able to make the next step, like a fly in resin?

So? :)
