Maeg and I should be signing a lease sometime this week for Charlie's place. We're both pretty excited. No more apartment hunting! No more Hot Girl clod-hopping above our heads every night between the hours of 11pm-2am! No more Pike! Then again, no more Wholefoods. No more Trader Joe's. No more super-simple commute to work. And no more riding bikes to and from Finn's (okay, we did this once, but it was amazingggg)! Maybe instead of leaving a toothbrush at her place, I can leave a bike.
Maybe, just maybe.
Moving will bring a much needed change of scenery to the Judysons. It's been too long (a whole two years) since our last move. We always say we'll stay forever, but we never, ever do. New routines will be forged and new memories will be created. Although... can't say I am looking forward to taking the bus or walking home from the T in complete darkness every night after work for the duration of the winter. But I'll manage.
Maybe I'll actually drive up to Topsfield to play disc golf now that RT 93 is just a sneeze away. Maybe I'll actually hang out with my sister more. Or ride my bike to Korey's. Or bring Maeg to JR's so I can steal the car for a quick jaunt to Cassie's place or to visit Chris or my parents. I can do all of these things now (which I have been -- especially over the past two weekends), but the Pike and I do not go 'way back'. I hate the tolls and the backlog of cars and the merging into lanes and forking left but staying right and landing the triple axle to avoid careening into a wall or better yet, accidentally exiting to South Station instead of 93 North like I've done before. I've been getting better with the whole 'driving like a normal person' thing, it'll be nice to skip the Pike ordeal and ride into the sweet, sweet sunset without a care in the world.
