A dramatic twenty-eight days will come to an even more dramatic end tomorrow with Kyle and Sister's early departure. Unbeknownst to us, she took it upon herself to rummage through Maeg's entire gMail account (read: chats) at some point yesterday while Maeg and I were at work. She felt she 'had the liberty' to do such a thing because 'it was left open.'
During her adventure, she happened upon a few mini bitch-fests between Maeg and I regarding their stay -- regarding their inability to pay for anything, their inability to cease bickering, and (most importantly) their inability to be respectful. For some reason, all of these 'minor' details escape her reasoning as to why things might be stressful.
Apparently, it is a mortal sin to confide in your wife about your house-guests and the added stress that accompanies them. Maeg and I talk every day, all day long while we're at work. We produce a LOT of reading material -- much of which has nothing to do with them (TRQBBQ?). It's nice to know that such a conniving and hateful bitch has read all of our personal and private conversations with the intent to completely victimize herself.
How did we find out that Sister (a forty-two year old 'adult') went to such great lengths to fuck us in the ass? Via a cryptically mis-spelled text message, of course! A nonsensical drone about how heartless, mean, and ridiculous we are. A perfect way to inform us that she hates our guts and will forever refuse to call us 'family'.
Good times.
She secretly booked a one-way ticket for her and Kyle while Maeg and I were gone last night. They leave today at 4:10pm -- eight days before they were originally slated to leave. Why? Because she can't stand being around us. She refuses to leave the guest room. And won't talk to anyone. Including Kyle.
Score one for browsing history. Otherwise, we wouldn't have known.
There is an overwhelming sense of defeat in the air. We invited them to stay in our home in order to help Kyle. This was for him. And yet, she has somehow managed to manipulate the situation to her liking. It's incredibly unsettling to witness someone completely dismantle a situation and blow it out of proportion due to selfishness.
Obviously stress levels were going to rise during their stay. We have a life. We have a rhythm. Anytime someone or something breaks that rhythm for an extended period of time, adjustments have to be made. But instead of making a spectacle out of it, Maeg and I turned to each other in confidence. Like adults. So that we could all coexist in harmony and do what needed to be done for Kyle until their stay ended.
Note to self: This is a prime example as to why you should always resist the urge to delve into people's personal space. Just say no to being an asswipe.
