Red X-ville

Having Jacs here for the week = paramount. Spent with an amazing set of human beings. We did everything we could think of during the time of her stay. The four-hour drive to NYC felt like a blip compared to the thirteen-hour stint to West Virginia. Although it did snow on our way there. And when we arrived, it was snowing boulder-sized flakes. As it fell against yellow bullets on wheels and accompanying hustle and bustle, the atmosphere warmed my insides. Our hotel room was almost less than decent. Haunted. Awkward. I hate elevators. Twelve floors up.

I won a Charms Blow Pop stuffed lollipop at Dave and Busters and got lost in Kmart like a champ.

Sensory overload.

We went to Park Place lanes. And The Cheesecake Factory. And IKEA and Jordan's Furniture in Avon because Spongebob was playing at the motion odyssey and it was imperative. We went to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall and Legal Sea Food where Jacs and her boyfriend Tony (who came with her via aero) both ate a $39.95 plate of King Crab. I wanted the wood smoked Cajun Haddock, but got the Fish 'n Chips because it was $5.00 less. Then regretted it. And learned an important lesson.

We checked out Bunker Hill Community College, as Jacs will probably attend school there when she comes back sometime during the summer. We got ice cream at Friendly's somewhere in Connecticut and Jacs and Tony ate munchkins for the first time. We went to the Galleria and to the Road House and my insides still hurt from all the food we managed to consume.

We played video games and watched movies and talked about the joys of bodily functions. We went to Good Times and Maeg cashed in her tickets for a plastic piggy bank named Bacon. At Newbury Comics, I got a sticker pack featuring various meat products like ham and steak and sausage. And put a raw chicken sticker on the car window with pride. We saw 'Slither' and it was hysterical. I threw a gummy candy at Tony when he left to take a crap, but I missed and hit an innocent bystander two rows down.

And we came to the conclusion that Spadafora slush is better than Richie's.

My bronchitis is easing up. The green has turned to yellow.
